Nathaniel Clyne out of Hong Kong Tour Games Nathaniel Clyne is out of the Crystal Palace game this afternoon and for the rest of the tour of Hong Kong due to a muscle strain picked up this week in training. The right back only missed one league game for the whole of last season but will be rested for the remainder of the Hong Kong tour to ensure his injury is not aggrivated any further. The most likely replacement for Clyne would be Trent Alexander-Arnold, the boyhood Liverpool fan signed a new long term contract at the club earlier this month and will be looking to impress against the pacey and skillful attack of Crystal Palace, that holds the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend. This injury may also give Jon Flanagan, an almost forgotten man, a chance to prove he is still of value to the club after a dissapointing spell out on loan at Burnley last season. Flanagan was a regular member of the first team just two years ago, but a knee injury saw him out for nearly the whole of the 2014-15 season. This saw him drop dramatically down the pecking order with the signing of Clyne and the rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Clyne will be back in training next week and will most likely next see action against Hertha Berlin on July 29th.
