Daniel Sturridge, a player Liverpool fans love to love. Having been at Anfield since 2013, and with the Reds growing and growing, there is some debate as to whether he should still be playing for Liverpool. If he stays, it is unclear what would happen. He may be a benchwarmer and watch Salah, Mané and Firmino and could be an impact player, such as in the match against Arsenal. In addition, with the almost guaranteed starting attackers of Philippe Coutinho and the incoming Naby Keita, it is clear that it would be difficult for Sturridge to compete, along with the upcoming youngsters Dominic Solanke and Ben Woodburn, and the man in a similar position to Sturridge, Danny Ings. So it is clear to anyone that Liverpool do not need more and more attackers. However, if he were to leave, would he be missed? Certainly by the fans, but probably not in terms of on the pitch action, especially with his unfortunate luck with injuries, resulting in him being ruled out for 17 months during his Anfield spell so far. If Daniel Sturridge did leave Liverpool, what club would suit him? Newcastle could do with a goal scorer; West Ham need a Sturridge type player to stay up. Maybe a loan move would be better than a permanent one. However, the famous saying “He’s not finished, he’s only 28” comes into play here. Still with many years still to play, he can score goals in Europe, at international level and most importantly, in the Premier League. He can certainly try and fight his way back into the team, but whether he is successful or not is yet to be seen.   Give us your thoughts and opinions below! Article by Jack Riley jackriley117
