Extremely difficult to watch that. The changes in personnel and system was always going to restrict the fluidity of the team, we didn’t help ourselves at times, neither did Stoke really, acted like a gang of absolute pricks at times. Paul Lambert is obviously a fan of the old “If you can’t beat them, kick them” approach. Not that I’m bitter. Karius 5 Didn’t do anything wrong, did’t have much to do. Stoke weren’t really interested in playing footie were they? Alexander Arnold 6 Change of position and role. Thought Gomez hindered him at times. We looked to threaten down that right flank most of the game but in truth we just couldn’t do it. Went off with a thigh/hip injury in the second half. Expect to see him for Roma. Van Dijk 7 Kept Crouch and Shakira, Shakira quiet. Sprayed the odd pass, would dread to think about life without him to be honest. Klavan 6 Like Virg, he kept the odd Stoke attack quiet. Did his little dummy in the first half, the highlight of his game. Gomez 5 Disappointingly poor today, clearly lacking in confidence. Poor in possession, sloppy passing and never looked to play the ball forward. Expect better from him. Moreno – 6 Threatened with pace but that was about it. Took a pot shot from about 25 yards out and that was about it. Just no Andy Robertson is he? Henderson – 6 Shit me up in the first half. Hope he’s alright like. Moved the ball quickly but couldn’t find that crucial pass to breakdown the Stoke shithousery. Yes, thats a word. Gini 7 Arguably our best player for me. He was impressive against Roma, making runs from deep and penetrating the defence but today he was creating space from nothing, showing a different side to his game. He’s calm and composed and isn’t afraid to be physical. Ings 6 We struggled to create anything throughout the game, not Danny’s fault but it shows how much we miss Sadio, he just runs riot. Tidy finish in the first half though, only for the linesman to piss on his chips. Salah  7 Missed a sitter in the first half. Shite. Get rid. Joking. He was man handled by Pieters from the get go. Should have scored but reckon he’s just saving it for Wednesday. Bobby  6.5 Never ranked Bobby this low. Again supply was a problem, Stoke were all over him and he couldn’t do his thing.   Subs: Milner – 6 Injected pace and creativity but was too little too late. Clyne – 5 Should have replaced Gomez in my opinion, but I’m not the manager am I. Liverpool move on and we can dream about Kiev again. Stoke on the other hand, enjoy the Championship you bag of dicks.
