Liverpool have made a busy start to the January transfer window in one sense as Nat Phillips, Fabio Carvalho and Rhys Williams all returned from loan spells away from Merseyside.
None of the aforementioned trio enjoyed particularly successful temporary moves and could therefore be looking for better luck away from Anfield in the second half of the season.
Owen Beck however appears to have returned to Liverpool for different reasons as Jurgen Klopp looks for cover to soften the blow of losing Kostas Tsimikas as he himself was covering the absence of Andy Robertson.
The 21-year-old Welshman made 17 Scottish Premiership appearances during his time north of the border and we spoke to Dundee FC journalist for The Courier, George Cran, to get the lowdown on Beck’s time at Dens Park.
What Would it take for Liverpool to Sign Inacio?
George said: “He’s very good going forward but he’s very tenacious in defence as well. When I saw him at the start of the season you could see the quality he had. I wondered whether defensively he might have some issues but he hasn’t had very many at all.
“He looks quite slight but he’s got aggression about him and he’s really tenacious so I don’t think there will be any problems on that front. He’s just a really exciting player. A classic, modern, Liverpool attacking full-back.
“Good quality on the ball, runs with the ball really well and he can defend as well. Feels like a younger version of Andy Robertson.”

High praise indeed.
Ultimately whether Beck features prominently for Liverpool between now and the end of the season or whether this is a short-term solution remains to be seen.
Either way, the time spent in Scotland looks to have stood the youngster in promising stead for the future and indeed for now as Klopp – who himself has spoken of his admiration for Beck – looks to plot a path beyond January in the domestic cups.
