News that will make all Liverpool fans uneasy… Luis Diaz to Barcelona.
Now, it comes as no surprise as Lucho’s father, Mane Diaz, has previously commented on the rumours linking his son to a move to a Spanish club, particularly Barcelona.
Despite his contentment at Liverpool, speculation has grown that Barcelona are preparing to make a significant offer for the winger.
Well-known Colombian journalist, Pipe Sierra, was the heart of the ‘Luis Diaz to Liverpool move’ and his reliability and access to insider information quickly grew his credibility.

As of recent reports, it is believed that Sierra suggests Barcelona views Diaz as an ideal fit for their squad, especially given the need for a new winger. Sporting director, Deco, and new coach, Hansi Flick, also see Diaz as a priority signing and have ‘reactivated’ their attempts to take the 27-year-old to Camp Nou.
However, it is important to note that Liverpool would demand a substantial fee for the player, given that his contract runs until 2027. As of the latest developments in the deal, it is believed that Liverpool have set a price tag of between €60-74million on Diaz, but players could be exchanged to help with FFP.
Despite financial challenges, alongside indications of meetings between Diaz’s representatives and Spanish club officials, Barca’s persistence could indicate that they are serious about bringing Liverpool’s star man to Camp Nou.
Back in April, rumours circulated that PSG wanted Diaz due to their uncertainty surrounding who would replace Kylian Mbappe. Although they do not have a direct replacement as of yet, it is believed that Napoli star, Khivicha Kvaratskhelia, is their number one target. Therefore, there was no significant development that indicated a loan was imminent.
In spite of the speculation, it is difficult to see the reason why Liverpool would let go of such a crucial player, especially seeing as they have had a dry transfer window, in terms of incomings, already.

Redmen Reacts
With only 17 days to go before the summer window closes, it is absurd to think the Reds will even consider letting go of such an integral part to Slot’s new system.
Diaz’s versatility, speed, and goal-scoring ability provides Liverpool with the energy up front as well as opportunities to adapt to new conditions and create chances.
Surely the Reds won’t sell him?
