After Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson all picked up injuries on international duty, Liverpool supporters across the world will have been desperate for all of their players to come out of tonight’s games injury-free.

However, those fans will be disappointed to find out that Divock Origi picked up an injury of his own during Belgium’s World Cup qualifier against Wales.

The Liverpool forward was taken off in the 59th minute of his country’s 1-1 with the Welsh and was replaced by Dante Vanzeir.

Henderson and Mane both took part in training for Liverpool today, so both might be available for selection this weekend. As it stands, we aren’t sure about Robertson’s status and now Origi’s availability for the game against Arsenal will also be in doubt.

Liverpool’s luck during this international break has been absolutely rotten and the news that yet another player has picked up an injury will have Jurgen Klopp pulling his hair out.

Origi may not have been a guaranteed starter this weekend, but given Bobby Firmino is out injured, the Belgian will have certainly been an option from the bench, at worst.

Now that he is injured though, Liverpool’s forward options are looking very thin going into a busy part of their season.
