Well wasn’t that fucking lovely? No football for ages. Spent two weeks moaning about that prat in a waistcoat not picking the best right-back in European football. Moaning about needing a break. Moaning I want the football back. Feel familiar? Then there is match day. Excitement. Nerves. Confidence. Nerves. Excitement. That was a complete performance start to finish. Every department was in charge, we had a stronger bench and for the first time in a while, we started in second gear. Then it was just a matter of when we would score, not if, WHEN.Introduce Diogoal into that mix and then at the rate he is going and then you’ve got a recipe for fucking disaster. That is the first time in a while I’ve looked at the bench and thought ‘fuck me’ we have some serious options and we are able to look ahead to Tuesday too.Been a while since I’ve done these and I cannot wait.Remember, these ratings are just opinions. They in no way have any effect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below. Alisson – 7Just passed it round the back for a bit didn’t he? Could have been in his back garden there. Lovely moustache too. Sexy bastard. Trent – 8Fucking have some of that Gareth you fucking waistcoat wearing buffoon. Look at the way he crosses that ball. ON A FUCKING PLATE. To be honest, he needed the break and now he’s fuming and ready to go. Kabak – 8I’m getting more and more confident with Kabby and he’s starting to back himself more and to settle a little bit more too. Who’d have thought eh? Developing a partnership, understanding the system, his other team mates. Lovely.Phillips – 8Won 6/7 aerial duels. STANDARD. Bit like Kabak. Backs himself, he’s building confidence and so are all of us. Boss going into Madrid on Tuesday. Another clean sheet for the lads too. Huge.Robbo – 7.5Surprised he started to be honest. He’s played loads of football for us and for Scotland. He had his work cut out today too. Nothing to write home about and nothing shite. The biggest bonus is he got off and that’s vital ahead of Madrid.Fabinho – 9HE MUST NEVER LEAVE THE SIX EVER AGAIN. Lighthouse, lamp-post, go-go gadget legs. Call him whatever you want. He’s the best in that position in the world. He changes the way we play, he allows others to play their game. I FUCKING love him.

Thiago – 7.5Passing was the best part of his game whether it be close, tight link up play or long raking passes to the side or forward. Again, having Fabinho behind him allows him to concentrate on his own game, to move forward, to be an extra body and to pile on the pressure.Milner – 7Surprise start for Milner but he provided energy and impetuous and for what was a high pressure game. Might not look it on the face of it, but it was needed. Should have scored really but ah well. Little stint at LB too.Mané – 7Conflicted over Mané and have been for a while. It’s not for want of trying – I just can’t tell if he’s fucking knackered or low on confidence. He had a few chances in which he’d usually take it on or it would be second nature but it’s just not happening for him right now.Salah – 8Left Gabriel on his arse and then fucking embarrassed Leno by nutmegging him. Could have and should have had more too. Good to see the hunger, good to see the amount of chances he made and I think Jota is pushing him too. Firmino – 7.5Can tell he needed some time off, not just to rest, but to reflect. He was fucking goosed. Dropped deep to help out, mixed with some lovely passes going forward. You can just tell from that game he’s got some of this confidence back. Lovely new haircut too.
Jota – 10I can see why he didn’t start. He’s just played loads of footy. But I can also see why people wanted him to start. He’s scored loads of goals. He’s fucking ruthless, clinical and a breathe of fresh air. Love him. Williams – N/AWasn’t on long.Gini – N/AWasn’t on long.Ross – @rossic89
