Liverpool beat Arsenal three-nil away from home thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Mo Salah!
That two-week international break definitely did us some good as we played very very well this evening.
Someone needs to tell Gareth Southgate to step outside because he has a lot of explaining to do. Trent Alexander-Arnold again proving his worth with a great performance today. He was consistently involved in every bit of the game and didn’t give Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang any real chances tonight and then could have had a few assists but the ball in for Jota’s first goal was sublime and you could see in his celebration what that meant to him. He was consistently involved in every bit of the game
Nat Philips and Ozan Kabak did a great job again this evening and that needs to be the CB pairing that finishes this season as having Fabinho in midfield just unlocks a whole new level of Thiago that we’ve been waiting to see. Fabinho deserves more of a mention just for his general play, constantly mopping up in midfield, fighting to win the ball back, organising his teammates, and just playing really really well. Definitely deserves a shout for player of the season.

James Milner was solid in midfield too tonight and it was nice that he could slot into that left-back position when Andy Robertson went off. The substitution was the right one too as Diogo Jota changed the game when he came on, it was the perfect injection of pace we needed at the right time and it was two good finishes. Trent’s cross put the ball on a plate for him and the header had just enough on it to not allow Leno a chance and then he was just in the perfect place to smash home the third.
Mo Salah Is A Prem Great
I thought Salah deserved a bit of a separate mention after tonight’s game as that was his 93rd goal in 150 Premier League games. He goes 5th in fastest players to get the most goals in 150 Prem games with the like of Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, and Alan Shearer ahead of him. His consistency is out of this world and it is shocking to still see so many people overlooking his performances and thinking he is overrated because the stats don’t lie and he deserves a lot more praise than he gets.
Real Madrid Up Next
A big Champions League game awaits us on Tuesday night as we face European giants Real Madrid in what will be a very very exciting fixture. It will be great to see so many good players come against each other in what is an iconic European fixture.
