The Reds kick their season off away from home at Fulham in the lunchtime kick-off on 6th August. So with just a couple of weeks to go, now seems the ideal time to look at the best bets for Liverpool this season.

Last season was so nearly perfect. Klopp’s team was close to achieving a remarkable quadruple, but in the end, Liverpool had to settle for the Carabao and FA Cups. So, with talisman Sadio Mane having departed the club, what can the Reds expect next season?
2022/23 Premier League Winner Betting
Title holders Manchester City start the season as 4/7 betting favourites. But with Erling Haaland now in their ranks, it remains to be seen if he will slot into Pep’s system as effortlessly as some expect. Betfair currently makes the Reds 11/5 second favourites in the outright football betting markets. Unfortunately, Liverpool have a similar problem to City. Yes, Luis Diaz hit the ground running last year, but that doesn’t mean that Darwin Núñez will as well.
With regards to the football tips on who will win the Premier League title, it’s again looking like a two-horse race between the Reds and Man City. At odds of just 11/5, there’s little value in backing Liverpool just yet.
Salah To Be Top Scorer… Again
A bet on Mohamed Salah to be the top scorer looks like a far better value football bet to take on. Erling Haaland is the 3/1 favourite to be the top scorer, with Salah second in the betting at 9/2. As football bets go, Salah has to be the call to win this argument. If Haaland clicks at City, he will score plenty. But City haven’t been a side that relies on an out-and-out striker for a couple of seasons, and if Haaland struggles to adapt to their style of play, he will find himself on the bench.
Salah on the other hand is almost guaranteed to score around 20 goals. In three of his last four seasons, the Egyptian has found the net over 20 times. His lowest return was 19 goals in the 2019/20 season. And who can forget his unbelievable 32 goals from 36 games back in the 2017/18 season? Salah to be 2022/23 Premier League top goalscorer at 9/2 is a great football tip.
Another incredible season from @MoSalah, who picks up the Golden Boot award after finishing with 2️⃣3️⃣ @premierleague goals!

Top 4 Finish Betting
Elsewhere, and in the betting market to finish in the top 4, Liverpool is 1/16. There is no value there, except for the fact that barring a disaster, that is going to happen. The same applies with betting to finish in the top 6, where the bookmakers have Liverpool at 1/100.
Liverpool Champions League Betting
The Champions League is another market worth looking at. Liverpool are 5/1 second-favourites, behind Man City. And for a side that has made it to three of the last five finals, this is a good value football bet.
The Reds will also be smarting from last season’s defeat to Real Madrid and will no doubt regard it as one that got away. The team will want to make amends for that loss, and with the fortress that is Anfield acting as a 12th man, Liverpool to make it to the final is also worth a look.
