Liverpool lose 2-0 away from home against Birmingham City Women.

Fran Kitching – 6/10

At fault for the second goal. No arguments for the first one as it loops over her. Performed well against Coventry so that’s why she gets the nod over Preuss.

Becky Jane – 6/10

The whole defence performed on a similar level. Jane was able to hold off the wingers at time but she wasn’t on top form today.

Sophie Bradley-Auckland – 6/10

Played every minute for us this season and rightly so, usual performance from her with some good last ditch tackles and blocks but wasn’t able to hold off every attack.

Leighanne Robe – 6/10

Taking up the CB role in place of an injured Fahey, played there a number of times this season and she was able to hold off some Birmingham attacks.

Jemma Purfield – 6/10

Was singing her praises before the game but she wasn’t able to make an impact today.

Rhiannon Roberts – 6/10

Midfield seemed over run today. She didn’t

Jade Bailey – 6/10

Bit sloppy in possession today, feel like she had been like that in a number of games so far this season.

Melissa Lawley – 6/10

Not on her usual form today. We couldn’t hold on to the ball long enough for to create anything.

Niamh Charles – 6/10

Got into some good positions again in the first half but as usual no one was in the box to convert. Would like to her take more shots on goal when she does get the opportunity.

Jess Clarke – 6/10

Was given the role of striker today but didn’t offer as much as Linnett did up front last weekend against Coventry.

Rinsola Babajide – 6/10

Same as Charles, got herself in some good positions. Was hoping she could test the defence more with her speed but didn’t get the opportunity to do so at time or when she did, the defence was able to deal with it.

Courtney Sweetman-Kirk – 5/10

Today would have been the perfect opportunity for her to come off the bench and grab her first goal of the season but unfortunately it didn’t happen. Didn’t get enough time on the ball to make an impact on the game.

Kirsty Linnett – 6/10

Came on and made an immediate impact with a shot on goal but couldn’t find the net. She deserved the start after her display last weekend.

Ashley Hodson – 5/10

Similar to CSK in that she didn’t get enough time on the ball to create any clear cut opportunities for us.
