Liverpool head to the south coast on a trip that last season was filled with trepidation for the misfiring Reds and one that ultimately throughout about one of the most dismal days of what was a disappointing campaign for the most part.
Rejvenauted as a squad and indeed Jurgen Klopp, this time it looks as though the Anfield club are the real deal again and a trip to face Brighton is more an opportunity than a concern.
Following the controversial events of last weekend, Klopp’s side can make a statement here and taking three points from the Seagulls would be another sign that Liverpool mean business once more.

Predicted XI
A slightly easier decision this week for the boss with Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones suspended, whilst Cody Gakpo is also missing through injury.
All of Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Harvey Elliott gave their auditions to fill the Jones void in midweek and whilst the Dutchman shone brightest, Endo’s substitution at half-time was certain a nod in the direction of the Japan captain getting to go ahead here.
In the backline with the now 25-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold fit again, the question only remains whether Klopp will persist with Joel Matip for the Premier League or whether Ibrahima Konate will enter the fray once again.
XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robeertson; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Salah, Diaz, Nunez.

Redmen Reacts
Although the result here could ultimately prove rather immaterial in May, given the difficulties in this fixture last term both in league and cup clashes, Liverpool will want to put on a show if possible.
Plus, with an international break upon us, heading into that with another three points would be a huge boost after what has been a turbulent eight days for reasons out of The Reds’ control.
