Liverpool are looking to extend their gap at the top of the Premier league table and bounce back from what was a very disappointing 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the FA Cup as they travel to the Amex stadium to face Brighton and Hove Albion in a very crucial Premier league match.

Liverpool won both of their Premier league games in 2018 against Brighton winning 1-0 at Anfield and 4-0 at Anfield, they also picked up a 5-1 win at the Amex in a very good game back in December of 2017. Brighton haven’t been the best recently having just won one of their last 5 games in the Premier league, however, they managed to pick up a point away to West Ham and away to Arsenal, so they know how to set up against the big teams. With Brighton sitting 13th in the premier league table on 26 points they will equally be as hungry for three points in this game.

Brighton are still missing goalkeeper Matthew Ryan and winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh as they are both representing their countries at the Asian Cup. Bernardo (Hamstring) and Izquierdo (knee) are both also carrying injuries. There are no current suspensions for Brighton.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton has made comments saying that he thinks Liverpool are favourites to win the Premier League title. “I think they are favourites simply because of the points difference, and I think they’ve been outstanding” Hughton will certainly know that it will be very hard to beat Liverpool.

Now onto my predicted line-up for the game. I feel Brighton will start the game as a 4-3-3. Due to the absence of Matthew Ryan Brighton are likely to start the game with Button in nets, I think Brighton will go with a back four of Montoya at right back, Duffy and Dunk as their centre backs and Bong out at Left Back. I think the middle three will consist of Gross, Stephens and Propper. Then the front three will have March and Locadia as wingers and Glen Murray up top as their striker.

In my eyes this game is just as big as the Man City game, we have to win it. If we lose and City win our lead at the top is near enough gone. However, if we get the three points, we keep our lead and it puts a wee bit of pressure onto City for their next game. I’m going to go with a 3-0 win to Liverpool with our front three (Salah, Firmino and Mane) all scoring a goal. Tell me what you think the score will be! COME ON YOU F*CKING REDS!!
