Liverpool keep the pressure on at the top of the table after securing three points away from home against Brighton!

That Man Mo

Mo Salah doing bits for my fantasy team there.

Thought he had an alright game, took him a while to get into the swing of things and did not see much of him in the first half but you can always count on him to create one magical moment for us and he did just that in the 50th minute after he was penalised in the penalty area by Gross and he stepped up, under pressure, and slotted the penalty home to secure the win for the Reds.

Solid At The Back

Imagine not having Van Dijk and Alisson controlling our defence.

Both did well today, Alisson did not have much to do throughout the majority of the game but when he was called upon he did not let us down. Nothing unusual there.

Same with Virgil. I just love the guy. Commanding and in control of most things and what I loved most about him in that game is that still with five minutes to go he hasn’t switched off and was still roaring at Trent to get higher in the line. The man just loves to win games and keep clean sheets and I think that is something we are all happy about.

It was also the first time that Brighton have failed to score at home in 10 months. Go on Reds.

I’ve also got to give credit to Fabinho, playing CB against Wolves and then again this afternoon when it isn’t your preferred position can be a difficult job but he handled himself well and it is nice to know you have got him to slot into that position if need be.

Fair Play To Brighton

It wasn’t all sunshine and daisies for the Reds and there was a period in the second half when Brighton where getting through our midfield and defence too easily but we managed to hold them off and not make any mistakes and give them too many chances. It is difficult times for Brighton as they are sitting 13th in the table with a -6 goal difference, it’s not that bad but if teams around them start picking up points and they drop a few more then they could be in trouble.

So the Reds secure another three points and get back to winning ways, not much more you could ask for really and now I am just hoping we can hit another good patch of form over the next three months and keep the pressure on the teams below us.
