Another disappointing performance and result for Liverpool. Out the FA Cup, outclassed and outperformed. Was really positive before hand seeing the team news; a nice mix of youth and experience which then turned out to be a lack of rhythm and cohesion. Hard to take but Chelsea were better in every department; first balls, second balls, defensively they were well organised and they got their tactics spot on. I wanted a treble. I’m guilty, as many others are of being carried away with how the season has gone. The target was, and always will be, the league. Forget being invincible, forget the treble. Get the league done and anything else is a bonus. Performances of late haven’t been great. That happens to every team. We are having a dip now. Doesn’t mean the season is over or we shouldn’t be grateful of what they have achieved so far. Chelsea were better. It hurts, but thats fine to admit. Shit cup anyway. Remember, these ratings are just opinion. They in no way have any effect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below.  Adrian – 5 A brilliant save before the goal, a superb 1 on 1 save and he denied Barkley from scoring a free kick. But I’ve no idea what the fuck he was trying to do for the first goal and his distribution was woeful at times. Shit cup anyway. Williams – 6 Feel sorry for him if I’m being perfectly honest. He’s never going to be Trent at his ages and lack of experience and he was up against Pedro and Alonso AND at times Giroud. He wasn’t great overall but he’s just a kid – he will have learned a lot from that. Shit cup anyway. Gomez  – 6 Next WWE superstar this lad. Had to content with Giroud who was a handful and for most of the game the midfield was absent so there was hardly ever a pass on. Defensively sound but again passing shocking at times. Shit cup anyway. van Dijk – 6 Could be less, as a could others. Same as Joe really. Was getting kicked in the face and all sorts but struggled to link up play to anyone really. Shit cup anyway. Robbo – 5 Couldn’t get a hold of the game or play to his usual high standards. I’ve said it before but he struggles when he plays with Origi in front of him. Can’t gamble going forward but also had to keep an eye on Willian. Shit cup anyway. Fabinho – 5 He’s had better games. Our midfield was completely over run start to finish. Partly his fault but also Lallana and Jones. Beaten easily time and time again which just led to frustration.

Jones – 5 Like Williams he’s just a kid and it showed. Not that he’s shite, he’s really not. But you can see the difference between experienced players and youth. Needed to drop deep to get involved which didn’t happen until the second half. Shit cup anyway. Lallana – 6 Nice on the eye; lovely close control, bought himself a yard here and there but no end product. Drive, determination, passion in the press is great but again, nothing came of it. Shit cup anyway. Origi – 5 He’s not a winger. Thats not his fault. But he’s done it enough times to adapt. Didn’t bring anything to the game, took too many touches and was too predictable. Shit cup anyway. Minamino – 5 Looked bright in the first half as he took the role of Bobby. High pressing and buzzing about the pitch looked great but he struggled to have any real impact on the game. Shit cup anyway. Mane – 6 Maybe our best outlet, as usual. In his defence, the supply wasn’t great. Williams tired to feed him but Chelsea set up well and just cut everything out. He was fuming in the end. Rightly so. Shit cup anyway.
Subs Bobby – N/A Wasn’t on long enough to rate. Salah – N/A Wasn’t on long enough to rate. Milner – N/A Wasn’t on long enough to rate. Ross – @rossic89
