Paul chats to Alan VanderMolen, SCJohnson’s C.C.O. and Dirk Kuyt, Liverpool’s ex-winger to talk about their initiative which sees Liverpool FC and SC Johnson tasking students across 19 local schools and LFC Foundation Easter sports camps to take part in the #IWill challenge in a bid to educate them on the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle. The challenge sees LFC and SCJ provide students with reusable bottles to use for the activity and dedicated materials to learn about plastic waste.
The #IWill challenge is a part of SCJ and LFC’s new “Don’t Lose Your Bottle” campaign that urges football fans to reduce plastic waste both on and off the pitch. The LFC x SCJ ‘Goals for Change’ partnership, which was announced last September, was fostered to create a closed-loop recycling model for the more than 500,000 plastic bottles used at Anfield each season. ‘Goals for Change’ is joint effort from both parties that aims to help fans understand what they can do to help create a more sustainable future.
