Poor overall performance. Really difficult to take right now as its so soon after the game. One or two decent performances but mainly defensively. Mo should have scored at least one. Our passing was poor, our decision making was poor and if i’m being honest, our subs were poor too. Well Bobby made a difference but it was a little too late for me.Alisson – 6Again never had much to do. Always in control and calm in possession.Trent – 6Nowhere near as good as he was in midweek. Some really sloppy passing at times and needlessly gave away possession. As did a few others.Matip – 7.5Not for the first time one of our most creative players. Shouldn’t really be the case as a centre back but Joel was often the only one who looked a threat, he took on players, drove at the defence and at times was a nightmare for Everton.Virgil – 8.5Again it will get over-looked but Virgil was everywhere today, some really important and crucial tackles, particularly in the second half.Robbo – 6Never got forward as much as usual today Robbo. He had plenty of issues to attend to. Coleman, Richarlison and others were a handful for him.Fabinho – 7.5Best of our midfield I thought. Broke down lots of Everton attacks, controlled the tempo much better in the first half and looked shattered towards the end. Probably should have scored. Fine margins.

Gini – 6Not his usual self either today Gini. Boss at shielding the ball and ran out of legs, strength and determination in the end.Hendo – 6Some lovely passes for Mo in the first, great at cutting the supply and cutting out the channels but went really quiet in the second half.Salah – 4Poor. Nothing else you can say. Poor touch, poor finishing, poor decision making on several occasions. Expect much better from him.Mane – 6Ok so he wasn’t as effective as his was midweek but Mane was often a pain in the arse for Everton. Even if it was winning free kicks in important positions, chasing down the last man, he was still nuisance. We just didn’t capitalise on any chances we did make.Divock – 6Don’t think he was terrible, in fact, as annoyed as I am at the overall performance and result, I though it was another encouraging performance from Divock. Even by his standards. Boiled piss for a bit too. Still a huge drop off between him and Bobby obviously and we didn’t get the last minute winner we all dreamed of. Wasn’t to be.Let me know what you think in the comments below. Please be aware that these are just opinion, so don’t take them personally!Ross – @rossic89
