In Liverpool’s latest search for another midfielder, The Reds could change their scope to Brazil with heavily linked Fluminense midfielder, Andre.
The Reds have already acquired very forward-thinking and creative midfielders, but despite adding Wataru Endo to the ranks, it’s time to focus on the Fabinho-sized hole to fill.
This week on Transfer Insight, Dan has a chat with Brazilian reporter, Emmanuel Luiz about the potential move for Andre.

Emanuel said: “Manchester United went to Andre’s camp to talk with them about a possible negotiation… What they said was [Andre] had personal terms agreed with Liverpool.
“Andre said I want to go to Liverpool. Liverpool said they will talk to Fluminense after the window closes… done deal. Liverpool wants to close the deal in the first week of September.
“Fluminense wants to sell their share of the player but they want 20% of a sell-on clause. If Liverpool waits until after [international call-up], his market value will increase.”

Redmen Reacts
It seems that The Reds will wait until January to obtain Andre’s services from Fluminense. Doing so will only increase the noise around getting another midfielder for now’s problems, however, sharing similar stylistic traits to Manuel Uguarte, a player previously admired by many among the fanbase, the 22-year-old Brazilian ticks plenty of boxes moving forwards and with Thiago likely to leave next summer, this could be an early answer.
With the defensive midfielder adamantly wanting the move, and while having impressive defensive stats, he may be just what the team needs to push on past January.
