With deadline day fast approaching, a difficult and enduring time awaits Liverpool as they look to get further deals over the line. The surprise signing of Wataru Endo has plugged the gap vacated by Fabinho’s departure.

However, it seems Jurgen Klopp’s business is not over yet with fresh links to Fluminense midfielder Andre appearing in the early hours of Monday morning.

The 22-year-old has remained an alternative option throughout the window and could potentially make the move to Anfield this summer. The Brazilian has a release clause of €40 million in his contract but with The Reds unwilling to match that just yet, a compromise may be reached.

A January move is the most likely outcome but as September 1st draws nearer, Liverpool may have to match the release clause.

This week Dan Clubbe has spoken with reliable Brazilian reporter – the first man to mention the interest from the Anfield club, Emmanuel Luiz, to discuss the young midfielder’s future and how this transfer may pan out.

Liverpool Preparing For January Andre Transfer!

Emanuel said: “January is €25 million, that is what Fluminense told Liverpool. They told Liverpool about this and what Liverpool said was, this is exclusive, that they would talk with Fluminense after the window closes. Manchester United were in talks with the player’s camp but they said in England we have agreed with Liverpool. I never trust a football player but in Andre’s case, I think it is a very strong situation because Andre wants the move right now.

“What I think will happen is Fluminense play this Thursday in the quarter-finals, Fluminense have hired a guy to play centre defensive midfielder and another exceptional talent in South America has returned from injury. So Fluminense are clearly improving the midfield part of the squad for next season. Andre will be sold. That is done. Liverpool want to close in the first week of September.”

Andre is a signing that makes perfect sense. He adds more depth to the centre-defensive midfield department and is someone Klopp can turn into a top-class player. Described as a mix between ‘Kimmich and Kante’ André’s age and price tag ultimately meet the usual requirements of an FSG signing.

It is important that Liverpool bring further reinforcements in this window and doesn’t leave an area of the squad in short supply. The £110 million bid for Caicedo has shown they have the money to spend. Another midfielder and a centre-back are needed to give Klopp the tools he needs to compete. Andre would be a good step in the right direction to put Liverpool back in contention on all fronts.
