Harvey Elliott has returned to action with goal and assist in behind-closed-doors game for Liverpool’s U23s against Wrexham.
As per a tweet from Paul Joyce, the Northern Football Correspondent for The Times and Sunday Times, Liverpool arranged this game specifically for Elliott, to allow him to get back TO action after his long injury lay-off and given the fact that he’s scored and had an assist, things look to have gone pretty well so far!

Elliott hasn’t featured for The Reds since September 12, 2021, when he suffered a horrendous ankle injury during a win against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The teenager had made himself a regular in Liverpool’s first-team up to that point, and after a long rehab period, he looks set to make his return to action, where he’ll be hoping to regain his place in the side.
Redmen Reacts
When Elliott first went down with the injury, there were fears about whether or not he’d play again this season. However, those fears were soon put to bed and all being well, the former Fulham man can take some part in next weekend’s game against Cardiff City.
Liverpool fans will undoubtedly give Elliott a huge ovation if he does play any part at Anfield next Sunday, hopefully he is able to come through this warm-up game well as it would be amazing to see him back in action as Liverpool get towards the business end of the season.
