Liverpool suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season after a somewhat disappointing performance at the King Power stadium.

Ahead of the game it looked like a few things could be in Liverpool’s favour; a long break, van Dijk, Fabinho and others back in the mix and Leicester had just been beaten by Man City.

Someone really should have told the lads.

We created plenty with Salah winning and missing a penalty, Sadio with a glorious one on one, Hendo with a few kicks which would have done some score try things in rugby and Matip went on many adventures.

Leicester meanwhile provided nothing. Absolutely nothing. One chance, one shot and bang, they were ahead.

Lots to reflect on for Jurgen and his Liverpool side who face Chelsea next.

Alisson – 6

His distribution was standard and I don’t feel like he could’ve done too much for the goal. I hate Schmeichel.

Trent – 5.5

His switching of the ball was exceptional for most of the game but his short passing was poor in the tight areas in the box and he didn’t track well for the goal. I hate Castagne.

Matip – 7

His slaloming runs were brilliant and our best chances came from that. His block in the first half was top class defending too. I hate Amartey.

VVD – 6

A pretty average Van Dijk performance, he didn’t do much wrong but never went above and beyond to help us to victory. I hate Ndidi.

Tsimikas – 6.5

His first half was brilliant and looked like a prime Robbo performance. We then missed Robbo in the second half which shows the dip in his performance. I hate Thomas.

Fabinho – 7

He pinned Leicester down well and looked like we could’ve kept a momentum going if he stayed on the pitch. Him coming off felt like a mistake from Klopp. I hate Choudhury.

Henderson – 5.5

He really wanted to score a volley from the edge of the box didn’t he? Maybe he should stop that based on his shooting tonight. Overall his off the ball work was ok but he lacked quality in movement in passing. I hate Soumare.

Oxlade-Chamberlain – 4.5

He was anonymous for most of that game. He felt lost in the first half and never felt like he got into the occasion and was unable to drive on the ball like he normally can. I hate Maddison.

Mane – 4.5

Oh Mane. Oh Sadio, you have to score that chance. His finishing wasn’t great and he struggled on the ball when he did get moments to cause problems. I hate Dewsbury-Hall.

Salah – 5

It felt like Salah missing a pen and then the following rebound got into his head for the rest of the game. He lacked the spark and creativity that he tends to provide but that probably comes from having to beat 3 men every time that he touches the ball. I hate Vardy

Jota – 5.5

He felt lost in this game. He couldn’t finish the half chances that he got and didn’t get involved in the build up with any intent with any meaningful quality. I hate Iheanacho.

Subs

Keita – 6

He came on and offered a touch of balance when we were pushing for a goal. But he never really did anything of note to change the game. I hate Lookman.

Firmino – 5

We lost the balance in our attacks when we went 4-2-3-1 when we were chasing the win and he couldn’t create a single dangerous moment. Honestly it felt like Origi would’ve offered more of a threat off the bench. I hate Tielemans.

Milner – 5

He gave a few too many simple fouls away which halted any momentum in the chase of a result. Didn’t make a positive or a negative impact in the game. I hate Albrighton.
