The game will be dominated by VAR and rightly so. Wasn’t Liverpool’s best performance but given the amount of football they have played and how well Wolves set up I think we can all appreciate the three points here.Alisson – 7Bailed our Van Dijk in the second half and was typically dominant throughout. Did concede a goal but errr, you know, VAR and that.Trent – 7.5Was always going to be difficult to follow up that performance v Leicester. Kept occupied by Jota and others which meant he couldn’t get forward as much. Most of the play still went through him tbf.Gomez – 9His fine form continues. Another one to bail out Van Dijk during the game. His ability to put the burners on when required is a valuable asset. Contributed with vital, last ditch blocks and tackles too.
van Dijk – 7.5Has some sad account clipped up his mistake yet? Probably. Boo fucking hoo. Is that all you have on him? Sensational passing and a clean sheet.Robbo – 7Quieter than usual gong forward as he was also occupied with the Wolves attack including that meff who scored and then celebrated like a 9 year old.Hendo – 8Not sure how he isn’t completely goosed. Certainly doesn’t show it. Provided heaps of energy, excellent in the press and a constant thorn in the Wolves side.

Lallana – 9Wonderful off the shoulder assist, not handball, cleaned out Traore when he came on and an all round solid performance from Lallana. Out wide on the right but still very effective.Gini – 8Always, always puts in a shift this fella. The dogged, dirty and unfashionable work. Helped protect the back four and added to Wolves frustration.Mane – 8 Wolves had 5 at the back. It was always going to be a struggle to find space and get behind the lines. Took his chance well, excellent finish.Salah – 7Adopted a more central role, particularly in the first half. Picked up some clever positions, held the ball up well and brought others into play, just couldn’t get past the Wolves army of defenders.Bobby – 7 Dropped deep to get involved, linked up well with Mané, Mo and Lallana. Managed to get a few strikes on goal but to no avail.
