Although the Reds piled tons of pressure on United, the Red Devils held their ground. Throughout the game Liverpool was full of frustrations after wasting many chances and providing a poor display in finishing. To add to further worries, Ryan Gravenberch came off with an injury at the hour mark after having a good spell since the second half. Tensions grew towards the final seconds of the game as Diogo Dalot is sent off following a second yellow.

After losing 7-0 here last season, Ten Hag parked the bus and despite dominating the game the Reds couldn’t do enough to break the deadlock. The draw leaves Liverpool a point behind Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
