Chris is joined by Sam Walker, James Sutton and Ross Chandley to discuss the loss on penalties to Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley. Maybe a chance at early silverware wasted but plenty of positives to take into the League!

  • The fume about the National Anthem.
  • City and LFC fans clash on the tube.
  • That was a good game of footy. High intensity stuff from both sides.
  • How ya feeling about ultimately losing the contest?
  • Were you surprised at the starting 11 at all?
  • Did they start well, us poorly or a bit of both?
  • Gomez caught by Sterling early. Sane chance.
  • Early sign of Salah getting a shot off and wide. A sign of things to come from him on the day?
  • Scruffy goal to concede. Runners were onside. Sterling actually scores against us. Is that a good or bad thing?
  • After the first 20 we started to limit their opportunities.
  • Our opportunities. VVD hits the bar. (over the line but not all over the line). Mo hits the post after dancing thru their defence. VAR – red card. VAR – pep?
  • Origi goes down. Walker/Guardiola capitalises and threads a ball thru to Sterling as Gomez pushes out. Sterling fluffs his lines. Allison saves.
  • Hendo FK. VVD to Matip. Goal. They struggled from set pieces. Is that their achilles heel?
  • Bravo was boss wasn’t he. The tit.
  • Keita and Ox on. They made a difference.
  • Mo header after a save. Walker with an unbelievable clearance.
  • PENS – Shaq. Wij – miss. Lallana. Ox. THUNDERBASTARD. Zinchenko’s was the one.
  • They celebrated that HARD.
  • Klopp made the lads stay and watch the trophy lift. That will have hurt.
  • So was there any players you were made up with or disappointed in?
  • Final thoughts.
