Well Big Brexit Sam has pissed his bisto tits all over my Christmas there. Spent the build up laughing at him, the first half mocking him and his shite, boring, negative, soul destroying football and we fucking drew. Robbo had it right, that was simply not good enough. Optimism skewed by the Crystal Palace game, a decent Christmas period, time with family and now I can’t help but feel frustrated at it all. I don’t like to be one of those “I told you so” cunts, but I’m going to be. We dicked them all over the shop in that first half and they were there for the taking, we lacked pace in the transitions, penetration in the build up and you could see it coming a mile off. West Brom weren’t interested in that first half but there were plenty of warning signs to fucking wake up in the second half. We didn’t and we were punished. Should some credit go to West Brom for stifling us? Probably. Am I going to be a stubborn bias bellend and ignore them? Yes. This season is just fucking mental and we have to cope with that. Other teams around us dropped points which adds even more to the fucking annoyance but it’s important to remember that we’re still top, we are still clear and there’s still a long way to go. Don’t get too down about it. We go again on Wednesday. Remember, these ratings are just opinions. They in no way have any effect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below.  Alisson – 7 In truth, he didn’t really have much to do. A big, big save in the second half should have been a wake up call for Liverpool but it wasn’t and we were punished. Think he was desperately unlucky to concede there, looks an easy save in slo-mo. Trent – 6 Played four key passes in that game and was one of our major threats, but that is exactly what West Brom wanted, get it out wide so we can lash balls into the box and they can clear. That last corner infuriated me, should have gone straight into the mixer. Fabinho – 7 3 clearances, 2 interceptions and 7/9 aerial duels and a performance we would probably be raving about if we’d won. But we didn’t so those stats are fucking useless. Looks like he lost his man for the goal as well. Again, annoying. Matip – 7 Probably would have been higher had he completed the game…and if we’d kept a clean sheet. Lovely little assist for Sadio to give us the lead but then went off injured, which just adds to the fucking annoyance of that game. I’m no doctor, but it looks like he’s pulled his groin. Robbo – 6 Like Trent, he got into the right positions, helped Sadio and played some lovely crosses into the box. Only for no-one to get on the end of it. Or a West Brom player to clear it. Frustrating. Hendo – 6 Provided a small amount of the drive and penetration he usually does, but when playing a side like that, you need all of it. Appreciate it’s difficult when Bisto tits plays a 6-4 formation but the transitions need to be quicker, we as a team needed to be more aggressive.

Gini – 6 Performance today completely overshadowed by more contract talk. Fabrizo Romano dropping discussion bombs in the middle of the game. Jones – 6 Loved his movement, his swag and his ability to bring others into play but can’t help but feel he was sloppy in the build up to the West Brom goal. A little too casual for me. I’m not throwing him under the Big Sam bus, but you can’t be that complacent. He’s young, he will learn and mistakes happen. Doesn’t make me feel better like. Mo – 6 Had loads of the ball, I mean fucking loads. But there was constantly a wall of bar codes in front of him. Looked to exploit space, use his close control but too often ran out of room to do anything. Didn’t have a shot on target, which I think that says it all. Bobby – 6 Should be talking about a Bobby winner here but that fella in goal decided to save it and ruin our fucking Christmas. Played with confidence, skill and was once again a real joy to watch. Counts for nothing though when we draw. His header was actually good, just matched by Johnstone. Annoyingly Mane – 7 Took his goal well, that first touch won’t get spoken about enough because we didn’t win but it’s a really good goal. Probably the most dangerous out the front three, but that isn’t saying a lot. None of them had a great time.
R.Williams – 6 Nearly outdone by pace only to be saved by Alisson and a mixture of confusion of panic meant he headed the ball out for a corner  which led to the West Brom goal. Might need to rely on him over the next few weeks. Ox – 6 Great to see this lad back on the pitch and he looked like the perfect option; some one to score an absolute thunder-cunt, another “Oh he can hit one” moment. Wasn’t to be. A few heavy touches which is just a lack of game time. Div – N/A Didn’t touch the ball. Ross – @rossic89
