Hear me out.We might be racking injuries of late but we are also racking up points in both domestic and European comps. Not pretty to watch at times but currently sat top of the table. Grinding out wins was a key feature winning the league last season, we haven’t lost that mentality. We won’t remember these performances in a few months time.Plus, we still have quality players that can change the game from the bench. The difference this season, in my opinion, will be squad depth, other teams will get injuries and in Everton’s case suspensions, but it is a true test how teams react. What a surprise and what a performance. There were of course one or two hairy moments which was just due to a lack of communication or understanding, which takes time. Passing wasn’t bad either! 9 clearances (6 headed), most in match 6 times possession gained 2 Interceptions 1 chance created 96 touchesRobbo – 8Ok going forward, not able to be his clinical self when providing when so many bodies and numbers are back. Also had defensive duties to attend to including a crucial block and huge interception in the first half!Hendo – 8Loves that reverse ball doesn’t he, you know the one, just 10 yards back from their box, lots of pace, lots of spin. Orchestrated a lot of Liverpool’s attacks, I say attacks, I mean forward play. Gini – 8Animal. Absolute animal. Showcased exactly what he was capable tonight and why he is so much better further up the pitch. Provided a sense of urgency and impetus into the game which was lacking at times whilst providing the defensive qualities of his game.

Mane – 7Found it hard to get into the game, West Ham defended in numbers and it took a while for him to grow into it. Not entirely sure why it wasn’t a foul when he got clattered but here we are, nothing in a game surprises me anymore. Much more of a threat in the second half and easy on the eye, such a joy to watch,Salah – 7.5Difficult game for the front three tonight, Salah et al found it hard to create anything, especially in that first half.
