Liverpool drew two all with Sporting. The inaugural (at least I assume it is) Western Union Cup was controversially shared. No pens, nada. In the land that systematically, and categorically HATES draws…. go figure. Anyway, I’m rambling. It’s late. We got Paul’s thoughts after the match as well as the full Jurgen Klopp’s full Press Conference. Sporting took the lead after a howler from the otherwise excellent Mignolet, before goals from Origi and Wijnaldum got sent the reds into half time 2-1 up. The game never quite reached the same levels in the second half, and Sporting grabbed what was probably a deserved equaliser through Wendell, after more great work from Bruno Fernandez.
