Gutted. Absolutely gutted. We created loads there, 35 shots on target and yet here we are. Out.A tale of two ‘keepers really. Oblak was sensational and Adrain, well, I don’t need to say anything. To add salt into the wounds, that was probably our best performance in recent weeks – until extra time. Big bonuses in having Robbo and Hendo back and we dominated. We were intense, the lads gave everything and it just felt like a matter of time before the winner would come.It wasn’t to be.It’s easy to be angry and disappointed now and as much as Atletico rode their luck, they were clinical. We just couldn’t kill the game off.Remember, these ratings are just opinion. They in no way have any effect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below. Adrian -4I’m hesitant to throw the lad under the bus but he made two mistakes for the first goal and should do much better for the second. Looked way off for the third too. I won’t say anymore.Trent – 7Take your pick of compliments for Trent tonight. Constantly an outlet as expected, put dangerous balls into the box, mixed it up by testing the keeper from range and was defensively sound.Gomez  – 7Was superb throughout the first 90. Was left exposed and probably shattered in extra time.van Dijk – 7A real shame to be marking these having just lost. None of the outfield players did much wrong, including van Dijk. His usual composed self throughout the game and even went up top in the latter stages.Robbo – 7You can see the desire, intensity and work rate of Robbo as soon as he steps up. We missed his link up play with Mane at the weekend and he should have had a goal tonight.Hendo – 7Had plenty of time on the ball and dictated play start to finish. Brought intensity and drive into the midfield to win second balls.

Gini – 7Loves a header does Gini. Shame it didn’t really matter in the end. One of those games where he shone. High pressing, strength to retain possession and making runs from deep to penetrate the defence or create space for others.Ox – 8Arguably one of his best performances in a Liverpool shirt. Found himself on the right assisting and linking up with Mo, picking up some dangerous positions which asked questions of the Atleti defence and got himself an assist.Salah – 7Looked like Mo of old times to be honest, he had time and space on the ball to drive at the back line, some neat close control and he really should have had a goal or two. Maybe three.Bobby – 6Could have had a hat-trick tonight. A combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping prevented that. A frustrating night but he had plenty of chances.Mane – 8Always a threat, always unpredictable. Wish he’d been a little more composed in his finishing too. Going for glory with bicycle kicks when we needed the goals. His tracking back and work rate was sublime, can never knock that.
SubsMilner – 6Injected some fight and passion into the game even though Ox was probably our best player at the time. Not his fault.Divock – N/AWasn’t on long enough to rate.Fabinho – N/AWasn’t on long enough to rate.Ross – @rossic89
