Paul, Chris, Jack and Ben are here with their thoughts on the dominant 3-1 win against Newcastle in the Premier league after a masterclass from Roberto Firmino and co. were too much for The Magpies

  • Squad rotation. A bit gutted for Shaq?
  • Not the best start. Bruce tried every tactical trick to nullify us.
  • Great goal by Willems to be fair. Any blame? Trent? Virgil?
  • It took us 25 mins to get to grips (moved Origi to CF), we never looked back from there…
  • Matip should defo have a pen. Bad VAR or bad refereeing?
  • Another example of how this team handles challenges.
  • Sadio Mané is unreal. Didn’t even celebrate.
  • Shame for Origi, glad that we started to look good with him still on the pitch though.
  • Gini nearly scored the best goal ever.
  • Oxlade Chamberlain: another important step on his path to full recovery.
  • Dubravka dropped a bollock, but ultimately stops it being 5 or 6.
  • Andy Robbo and Trent in particular unlucky not to score.
  • Bobby Firmino la. He’s gone up a level (many levels?) this season.
  • Salah was probably the weakest performer of the front 3- insert massive shrug.
  • It’s important to win these games convincingly- it let’s opponent think there is no plan that will stop defeat.
  • Biggest lead at the top ever after 5 games.
    • Norwich beat City 3-2
    • Other results (Spurs and City for example) but Norwich beat City.
    • Otamendi/Stones.
    • Pep mentioned LFC in post match presser
