Always rated the Carabao Cup me. Honest.

A night for the emotions that one. Heads falling off at team news. Standard. Going two goals down so early on, being teased with a comeback, going further behind and then coming back to win it.

Why do people bother writing us off,? Why do teams try and start fights and get the crowd up? When will they all learn?

In all honesty, we’d all have gone stronger but Klopp obviously didn’t want to play some of the lads with all the games we’ve got coming up. I’m fine with that.

It’s done now and we’re through.
Kelleher – 9

Could be less given he conceded 3 goals but in his defence, he didn’t have much of a defence did he? Could have been more as well if it wasn’t for some brilliant saves. Hero of the night for me after his penalty saves.

Bradley – 5

Leicester City’s experience and pace was too much. Liverpool were all over the place in the first half an hour and Bradley was exposed. Had a severe lack of cover too. Not ideal for him but I won’t be too harsh, I’ve got sympathy for him to be honest.

Koumetio – 5

Miles off it in comparison to his opponents in terms of experience and playing in games like this. Not his fault, some of the best defenders in the league get punished by Vardy. A harsh lesson for him. Hooked at HT.

Gomez – 5

Important minutes for him, he was rusty and it showed. Far too slow and complacent at times and it could and should have been more costly at times. I’ve sympathy for him, Leicester went strong and he was thrust into a tough situation with an inexperienced back line.

Tsimikas – 7.5

I just love him, he’s quickly become a cult here in my eyes. Tireless, good crosses and when he was subbed he just gave it large to the linesman.

Morton – 5

One or two glimpses of good play, but if we’re being honest, he was was extremely lucky to still be on the pitch at all. Hooked at HT.

Hendo – 6

Played 60 which very much felt like a planned sub. Needed minutes under his belt after being out. One or two sloppy passes which he’ll be frustrated with and I guess the overall performance while he was on the pitch. Which I guess is difficult when there’s so much rotation.

Ox – 9

Quality goal from Ox and arguably could have had another. Felt like he grew into the game like the rest of the side into the second half. We just had much more balance in the middle of the park and he carried us forward on numerous occasions.

Taki – 8

This was a 7 but my word, have to give him an eight. Looked like he was being bullied out the game but he dug deep, chased everything, fought for everything and never gave up. A goal and assist is a good nights work if you ask me!

Bobby – 8

I just love the mad b*stard, I really do. Nice cushioned assist for Ox and plenty of examples of good link up play. Gets bonus points for winding up Kasper Schmeichel for his pen too hahahaahaha.

Williams – 7

Probably needed to give Bradley a bit more support defensively in the first half and then he was shifted back to right back in the second half where for me, he was much better.

Milner – 9

Just giving him points for starting a fight and getting the crowd going tbh.

Jota – 9

Comes on, scores a goal and gets us back in the game. I’ve no idea how he didn’t get that second after the Kieta shot. Rather than crediting kasper Schmeichel, I’ll just say it was a good miss from Diogo.

Konate – 9

Settled Gomez down loads, and me to be honest. Bodied people, went on mad runs, got himself involved in the box. All the good things.

Keita – 10

Impactful, creative and nutmegged that greasy haired, knee-sliding, Tory toss piece Maddisson. When Naby plays to Naby potential, he’s such a joy to watch. Excellent pen as well!

Beck – N/A

Only played a few moments.
