A proper game of two halves that. Out of sorts and all over the shop in the first half. Due to us being a bit shit and Southampton giving it a go. Fair play. We know how good this side is though. Klopp and his team analyse everything and we use that to our advantage. Everyone stepped up in the second half and by the time we went two up Southampton must have thought “fuck it”. Another three points in the bag. Not sure why I was worried at half time. Up the reds. Remember, these ratings are just opinion. They in no way have any affect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below.  Alisson – 8 Mad bastard isn’t he? Crucial saves again today along with some influential passes. This fella is so good the pass back rule does not apply. Not sure what that was in the second half either. Some sort of goalkeeping slide tackle. Love him. Trent – 6.5 He looked shattered v West Ham and was a little laboured today. Nobody really covered themselves in glory in the first half and I think the breezy conditions contributed to some of his poorer passes. Defo meant that long ball to Bobby before the third goal though. Gomez  – 7 Confused and out of sorts in the first half and must have taken a bollocking with the rest of the lads at half time. Imperious second half performance there from a man who has been in fine form. van Dijk – 8 There isn’t a lot this man can’t deal with. Cut out several Southampton attacks today and recovered several sloppy mistakes from his team mates. Wish he’d scored that back-heel! Imagine the scenes! Robbo – 6.5 Standard Robbo performance. Didn’t get into the final third as much as usual but still made his mark on the game. Had to adjust his game slightly with Ox in front of him in terms of how and when he went forward. Fabinho – 6.5 Still finding his rhythm imo but still a quality player, that will never change. A lucky boy to not give a penalty away there too.

Gini – 6.5 Doesn’t often get the credit he deserves Gini. So much work done on and off the ball. Tracking back and providing support to the back line and going forward he’s selfless in making runs and creating space. Hendo – 9 Could of been 10. But as mentioned, the first half from everyone was poor. Had his name sung again and fucking rightly so. A goal and an assist for another man in terrific form. Just give him POTY now. Salah – 10 He looked a frustrated figure in the first half but Salah did everything in the second half; two goals, running in behind, causing issues, he holds the ball up well, he brings others into play and he should really have an assist to him name too. Bobby – 9 3 assists. 3 fucking assists. Mental. Could have been killed in the first half after being clattered into. Not sure why that wasn’t a pen, like. If you don’t understand how vital his is to this team then I can’t help you. Ox – 8 Been critical of him when played on the left but he was decent out there today. Took up some more central positions in the first half and made numerous inverted runs throughout. His goal got the reds going and what a finish it was.
