Liverpool completed their on-pitch action in Dubai with an excellent victory over AC Milan, as preparations went up a notch ahead of the trip to The Etihad Stadium next week.

But how did everyone get on overall?

Caoimhin Kelleher 6 – In truth the Cork man had very little to do during his time on the field as Liverpool’s defence was quite steady today overall, he couldn’t have done much about the AC Milan goal, and he was calm and composed as ever.

James Milner 7 – As ever it was nice and handy from our number 7, doing all the simple things correctly, with minimal fuss, no problem.

Joel Matip 7 – Helped set up the first goal brilliantly with an excellent run, and as always he gave the game everything he had.

Joe Gomez 6 – Nothing really extraordinary from the Englishman, very calm on the football and great to see him getting the game time.

Andy Robertson 4 – The Reds defender wasn’t at his rampant best, he gave the ball away for a good Milan chance, as well as being unable to prevent the shot on goal that led to the Ac Milan equaliser, but there is no doubt he will be back to his best sooner rather than later.

Stefan Bajcetic 6 – A very good performance from the young man with his lovely turns away from trouble with the ball whilst also being calm and cool when going about his work.

Thiago Alcantara 10 – An outstanding performance from the classy midfielder which saw him score a quite wonderful goal while also opening the game up on several occasions.

Harvey Elliott 6 – Smart work as ever creating chances and very clever making everyone else play well around him, which resulted in a great run out for the talented attacking midfielder.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 6 – Fantastic to see him getting needed game time played well and came close to scoring.

Mohamed Salah 8 – A very tidy finish got Liverpool off to an excellent start, he could have had a few more goals, but at least he’s back in the goal-scoring routine.

Roberto Firmino – As per usual, the Brazilian was at it doing plenty of running, glueing Liverpool’s attacks together at times, and overall doing a good job.

Adrian 4 – A good save in the shootout after the game, was probably his best moment, he also let a soft spot kick in and in normal time Milan didn’t threaten The Reds’ goal too often.

Naby Keita 5 – Nice to see him get another runout, missed a penalty in the shootout but that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

Kostas Tsimikas 5 – A good performance during his time on the field, an excellent clearance during the game and an unfortunate penalty miss- not bad overall.

Darwin Nunez 10 – he just picked up where he left off against Southampton scoring two fine goals today and being a handful in general for the AC Milan defence – Super job

Fabio Carvalho 6 – Sound performance nothing spectacular.

Bobby Clark 8 – A sensational pass from the promising young man set up the first goal for Nunez, which in itself deserves a high grade- an old head on young shoulders, with surely a promising career in the game ahead!

Nathaniel Phillips 6 – Defended everything that came his way well, whilst also being good in possession.

Ben Doak 9 – Another stunning performance from the teenager, hit the post and put the ball on a plate for Nunez to score his second goal.

Jarell Quansah, Dominic Corness, Melkamu Frauendorf

Great experience for all 3 young men not putting a foot wrong in what overall was a good day for The Reds.
