Liverpool & Barcelona In Competition For Houssem Aouar
I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen or heard much of this guy but he’s 19, plays for Lyon and from a few videos on Youtube, he looks like a tricky forward. He’s been dubbed the ???New Coutinho’ so that bodes well I guess and Barcelona are reportedly interested too. If we do end up completing this signing, I’ll put full faith in Klopp and his team to develop him into a player that will help us progress.
Max Meyer Turns Down FC Shalke Contract
A player we have been linked with in the past has turned down a contract from his current club so that means only one thing??? Easy click bait for every football website out there (of course not our one though, we’re obviously above that???haha!) In all seriousness though, he looks to be a talented player and can play as a ???deep lying playmaker’ which seems to be what Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in, in the Summer. One to keep an eye on but there will almost certainly be competition for his signature.
Collymore Wants Gigi Buffon
I’m not sure what to make of this story. Stan Collymore has come out and said, “Gigi Buffon is talking about retiring at the end of the season??? Why not go and make him a megabucks offer?” Fair play, he would be a great addition to the squad but I wouldn’t want him to play. I’d rather he took on the role that Alex Manninger did before he retired; giving advice and sharing his experience with the current goalkeepers.
