Liverpool Have Made A Profit
James Pearce has reported that FSG have made a £39m profit after tax last season and the reactions from Liverpool fans have been surprisingly positive. This is in stark contrast to just after the January transfer window closed and some fans were up in arms about a lack of spending and players sold.
Isn’t it funny how an upturn in form completely changes the narrative? We’re undoubtedly on the up and you know for a fact that money will be spent this Summer on building an even better squad, fit for challenging for trophies on all fronts.

The Reds Have Bought Land In Kirkby For The Training Facility
Liverpool are set to buy 14 acres of land on Simonswood Lane in Kirkby for £160,000 to make Jurgen Klopp’s wishes of having the Youth and First Team set-ups in the same facility. The plans for this new facility have been approved by Knowsley Council and the building will go ahead this Summer if everything goes to plan.

Liverpool & Barcelona In Competition For Houssem Aouar
I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen or heard much of this guy but he’s 19, plays for Lyon and from a few videos on Youtube, he looks like a tricky forward. He’s been dubbed the ‘New Coutinho’ so that bodes well I guess and Barcelona are reportedly interested too. If we do end up completing this signing, I’ll put full faith in Klopp and his team to develop him into a player that will help us progress.

Max Meyer Turns Down FC Shalke Contract
A player we have been linked with in the past has turned down a contract from his current club so that means only one thing… Easy click bait for every football website out there (of course not our one though, we’re obviously above that…haha!) In all seriousness though, he looks to be a talented player and can play as a ‘deep lying playmaker’ which seems to be what Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in, in the Summer. One to keep an eye on but there will almost certainly be competition for his signature.

Collymore Wants Gigi Buffon
I’m not sure what to make of this story. Stan Collymore has come out and said, “Gigi Buffon is talking about retiring at the end of the season… Why not go and make him a megabucks offer?” Fair play, he would be a great addition to the squad but I wouldn’t want him to play. I’d rather he took on the role that Alex Manninger did before he retired; giving advice and sharing his experience with the current goalkeepers.
