Nice little copy and paste job as Liverpool start with the same team for a third successive game. Makes my job easier anyway.Brighton defended well in numbers and frustrated us all game. Liverpool had to win ugly and thats sound with me. Another clean sheet and another 3 points.Alisson – 7Never really had much to do in fairness. Distribution spot on again, that outside of the boot pass in the first half was nothing short of filthy. As was his little chip over Knockhaert. Shit myself, not going to lie. Not as much as the one after it.Made a superb save in the dying minutes, sign of a good ‘keeper that. Never had much to do but does the job when called upon. Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5Forever an option going forward. Delivery was much better than it has been.Joe Gomez – 7Quietly going about his business Joe. Consistent, calm and another clean sheet. Brighton didn’t create much but thats a testament to his concentration. Switched to right back with moments left.Virgil Van Dijk – 7.5Just a fucking machine isn’t he. Kept Murray in his pocket this week. Not even Mourinho’s bus managed that.Andy Robertson – 7Same as Trent, bombed up and down the wing all game, spot on delivery and defensively sound. My left back.Naby Keita – 6Showed more signs of cute passes and tireless pressing but looked out of sorts or outnumbered at times. Wouldn’t worry about him though!James Milner – 7.5He’s a hard bastard. So much so Brighton resorted to taking it it turns to cut him in half. Did well to win the ball back for Salah’s goal.Probably Liverpool’s best player again!Georginio Wijnaldum – 7Gini did keepy ups on in the middle of the park! WTF!! Again, does the crappy job breaking up the play and recycling possession but consistent yet again. Mo Salah – 7Took his goal well in the first half but then looked frustrated from there on. Brighton defended in numbers so his chances were always going to be limited.Roberto Firmino – 7Quality touch replacing his sock in the second half. Really good control. Not as sublime as his pass for Salah though.Sadio Mane – 6Wasn’t his best game was it? Doesn’t matter, Salah did the job this week. Bobby’s turn next.Subs:Jordan Henderson – 5Came on to inject much needed life into the midfield. Slowed the tempo down whenever Brighton decided to venture forward. Which wasn’t often.Sturridge – 5Came on with minutes left, not enough time to warrant anything more.We looked tired and frustrated at times but you have to give credit to Brighton.
