You ok? What did you get up to this evening? Anything interesting? Wish I’d lashed the bake off on there. Boring, no cohesion, frustrating and yet we won 2-0. Mental.Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I was full of hope seeing that line up, some fresh legs and some players who should be hungry to set down a marker for future games. Didn’t quite work out like that did it? Shame really. The win and the points are the important thing here, that’s what we should be concentrating on. We will forget about the performance soon. And another positive to take the the front three got an hour off, that’s not helpful now but it will be for West Ham on Saturday.Remember, these ratings are just opinions. They in no way have any effect on your life. Don’t get angry. Just let me know yours in the comments below. Alisson – 7Sound. Dominant again for crosses and some big shouts when communicating with the back line. For me, I felt assured and I just don’t have the same fear or concerns when he isn’t there. Made a big save in the first half too. Also, get him wrapped up in cotton wool. This man should be protected at all costs.Trent – 8MOTM for me. Or certainly our best player! Going to leave this one to the ladies and gentleman at the Tactical Times. Always an outlet, the Trent that we love. Dangerous, a thorn in the side and another assist to his name. Did a volleyed pass in the first half that got me very, very excited.Gomez – 7.5Thought Joe was pretty solid this evening. He had a lot to do tonight and he got skinned at the end there, fortunately the shot went wide. Still, he won 7/7 aerial duals. Our only fit 1st team CB. The pressure is on him now, both to perform and stay fit.Fabinho – N/APlayed less than half an hour and he’s injured. Fuck. What now?Robbo – 7.5I’ll level with you. I don’t know what to put for half of these, comments and ratings. I watched it. Was all just a bit meh though wasn’t it. Not injured though, so that’s good.Hendo – 6.5May seem a harsh score, it’s not, he just played half the game. Thought he was injured but he’s obviously being rotated due to the fixture congestion and probably so he can play CB v West Ham at the weekend.Trent Alexander-Arnold vs. Midtjylland

80% Pass accuracy
8/18 Accurate long passes
4 Chances created
1 Assist
1/1 Dribble completed
6/10 Duels won
The passing range, the invention, and the ingenuity was a breath of fresh air on a cold, tiring, otherwise unenjoyable evening. pic.twitter.com/1pSAecGdID

Milner – 6Not his finest game for Liverpool, wasn’t anyones really. Standard booking and usual shithousery all mixed in with a few Marseille turns for good measure. Kind of sums up how mad that game was.Shaqiri – 7Boss to see Shaq, showed glimpses of what he can do, why he is still at the club and why he is regarded as a good player. Cheeky reverse ball back to Trent makes that goal happen. Superb creativity and vision.Jota – 7.5DIOGOAL JOTA. Number 10,000. Again an exciting performance, continues to work hard and cause problems for the opposition. His best game? No. Does it matter? No. He’s proved he can score goals, he understands his position, the system, where is supposed to be and finds himself in space all the time.Minamino – 6Frustrating one there for Taki. Can’t knock the effort, the work rate or his idea. Just didn’t seem to work out for him for large parts of the game. He messed up in the first half and made sure he won the ball back, then punched the floor. He’s frustrated at himself too, that’s a good thing.Origi – 5Not sure where I am with Divock anymore. It’s hard to come in a just perform but at the same time he needs to start taking his chances when he is played. That certainly never happened tonight.

SubsWilliams – 7You know what, I really like this lad. Might not have a choice the way our CB’s are dropping like flies. Immense pressure and you wouldn’t even notice. Calm, composed. Good on the ball and a decent range of passing.Gini – 6Stuck out like a sore thumb for the first 5/10 of the second half using his body and strength to retain possession and protect the back line. I lost a bit of interest in general after that and he didn’t do anything else of note that I can remember.Mane – 6Didn’t do anything of note, one dribble attempt in which he ran into a dead end and lost the ball. Kind of fine with that tbh.Salah – 7The game opened up later in the second half and Mo managed to find space behind the Midtjylland defence which in turn led to the penalty, which led to Liverpool going 2-0 up. Not bad for half an hours work!Firmino – 6Thought he would be full of confidence having scored at the weekend. He’s been ‘Space-Jammed’ that’s the only thing I can think of. Missed a sitter to put it 2-0. It should have been but he skied it. Needs to be more clinical, it didn’t cost us tonight but it could have.Ross – @rossic89
