By Lewis Thompson – @LewisThomps0nLiverpool host already relegated Huddersfield tonight in their 36th game of the Premier League season. With Man City beating Man United in the Manchester Derby two days ago, Liverpool must do everything to get all three points, in order to get back on top of the Premier League. Jan Siewert’s men currently sit bottom of the league with 14 points, having nothing to play for apart from pride. Huddersfield have only won three games this season and have lost 27. Again, Liverpool have the chance to put a little bit of pressure on Man City before their game against Burnley.Huddersfield have not beaten Liverpool since the 28th of November 1959! Huddersfield won that game 1-0. Since then, The Reds have gone on to win 10 games out of 12 against Huddersfield, drawing the other two. The last time Liverpool hosted Huddersfield in the Premier League, The Reds won 3-0 with Sturridge, Firmino and Wijnaldum all getting goals. Liverpool also won the reverse fixture earlier on this season, 1-0 with a Mo Salah goal. The Terriers haven’t scored in any of their last eight meetings with Liverpool in all competitions since a 1-1 draw at Anfield in April 1962.

Siewert may not be able to choose Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy for the game tonight. He picked a knock in their home defeat to Watford last week. Goalkeeper Ben Hamer is still out with a knock, therefore Jonas Lossl will retain his place in between the sticks. Laurent Depoitre is still unavailable for The Terriers. Winger Diakhaby is back to full fitness after suffering from a hamstring injury. Jan Siewert has said he is “excited” at the fact his team are facing title chasing Liverpool, he also came out and said “The big pressure is on Liverpool” due to the fact Liverpool are chasing the title. Now onto my predicted line-up for the game. I feel Siewert will stick with his usual 4-4-1-1 formation for the game tonight. I think the team will be Lossl in nets, Smith, Schindler, Kongolo and Durm in defence, Kachunga, Bacuna, Daly and Lowe in midfield, with Pritchard in the number 10 role just behind Mounie up top.I can’t really see their being any problems for Liverpool tonight I don’t think Huddersfield will score and I believe it will be a comfortable 4-0 win to Liverpool, with Salah, Mane (x2) and Firmino getting the goals. Tell me what you think the score will be, COME ON YOU REDS!!By Lewis ThompsonTwitter @LewisThomps0n
