Disappointing that in the end really. Napoli looked like they had tired at the end but we looked like we had run out of ideas.Too slow and predictable in our build up, although credit to Napoli they defended well and resolutely.Don’t get me started on the ref.Alisson – 7Standard Alisson performance that; dominated his area, came off the line abruptly and confidently and distribution sound.Gomez – 6.5Gomez was sound. I shouldn’t belittle him for not being Trent but we just lacked that something else in the build up.
Lovren – 8Degsey Lovren with a goal! And a solid game for me. Shouldn’t be surprised really. He’s got a mistake in him but he’s in good form.van Dijk – 8Just a warrior isn’t he? Battled for everything and even had to put up with a sly elbow. Reduced Napoli to a few chances so not a bad game.Robertson – 7Can I award points for piss boiling? Probably. Just not ideal during injury time when we need a winner like. Small victories though.Fabinho – 6Cant rate him any higher. Just hope he’s ok. Got the weekend to recover.

Milner – 7Put a few early reducers in as we come to expect from Milner and probably hard lines for the rest of the game, looked to create but again Napoli well drilled.Hendo – 7What a shift again from Hendo. Even went to right back for a bit.Salah – 6.5Taken out for the majority of the game due to Napoli’s work rate and defensive line. Couldn’t have gone down for a pen too. Wish he had tbh.Bobby – 6Had to drop deep to get into the game for large parts, he did look sharp and should have scored a header. Quiet besides that.Mane – 7.5The ray of hope driving at the defence time and time again. Just wouldn’t bounce for him.
SubsGini – 7Burst of energy as usual when he came on, protected the ball well and penetrated the back line.Ox – 6.5We we’re crying out for him after that first half. Appeared to be wider than usual with a congested middle of the park.Trent – 6Missed him massively in the first half and most of the second. Needed to come on earlier for me.
