Good Start To The SeasonLiverpool gets their season off to a good start with a 4-1 win over Norwich City at home. Good performance tonight from the Reds, nice to be back at Anfield and start with a bang! The crowd was incredible tonight and it made being at the game that little bit extra special. Hopefully, we can replicate that atmosphere at every game this season. Also, a big fan of everything have 6 times or 6 trophies on it and now and us singing Champions of Europe before the match has even kicked off!Mo Salah 1 goal. 1 assist. 73% pass completion. 2/2 dribbles. 3 key passes. The man can do it all. He’s not doing too bad for a one-season wonder, is he? He showed us glimpses of what we will be seeing from him this season last weekend against Man City in the cup and tonight he bagged himself a goal and an assist along with an impressive performance. I’m expecting a big season from the Egyptian this year and hoping he can continue to prove how much of a quality player he is and has been for us. He looked strong and powerful today, rarely was he shoved off the ball or dispossessed and at times the ball looked glued to his feet. I want to see him cutting inside more and shooting on his left, which he did do today, but obviously it is only early days so there will be plenty of opportunities for those curlers.

Bobby Firmino Bobby was brilliant today I thought, he was everywhere like he usually is and was unlucky to not get himself on the scoresheet. He’s definitely going to score a volley soon because that twice in two games he has attempted it so at some point it’s going to come off right? Much like Salah, it’s a big season for Firmino and he will be wanting to bag himself more goals than last year and try and give Mo and Mane a run for their money.Worried For Alisson I think all the oxygen was sucked out of the air when he went down!Only a quick side note on this, hoping Alisson injury is not as bad as we first feared and if he has to miss Wednesday night’s match against Chelsea in order for him to be 100% for next weekend then so be it.Defensive Woes? Is there cause for concern in defense? Possibly but right now I’m more focused on winning games and getting the three points. We’ve come out on the opening day of the season and beaten a fresh, newly promoted team 4-1 with a solid performance from every player. I think there were moments especially down the right-hand side that could have been worrying at times but it’s not the end of the world, it would have been nice to come away from the game with a clean sheet but it can’t always be perfect. It’s important to focus on the positives rather than the negatives!Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!Up The RedsBy Lauren Black -@Lauren_Black9
