Liverpool are six points clear of Tottenham and seven points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table and you could say we are simply having a wonderful Christmas time!

Top Of The League

The only thing I really care about right now is that Liverpool are top of the Premier League and I’m gonna have several drinks tonight to celebrate.

But seriously, what a performance from the team today. They absolutely smashed it and there was not one moment in that game where Newcastle where on the front foot, we had them in the palm of our hand for the full 90 minutes and the scoreline proves that.

This team is something special, the fans know it, the team knows it and the rest of the league know it too. We have beaten every side in the league this season, not one of them has taken all three points off us so why not go and do it again in the second half of the season.

Long-range Lovren

He will never score a goal like that again in his life.

People love him, people hate him, I don’t really mind whether he plays or not but to come in and take Joe Gomez role and fit right into the team is brilliant and he has not put a foot wrong for us and to score a goal like that today to get the ball rolling in the match was unbelievable and he deserves all the praise he gets today.

Mo Salah Mo Salah Mo Salah

The first penalty at Anfield in I don’t know how long and of course it had to be Mo. The man has been brilliant in recent weeks and has completely put that talk of the ‘one season wonder’ behind him and showed people what he is made of. Irreplaceable in our side and if he continues to perform the way he is then why can’t he replicate some of the stuff he achieved last year.

Fantastic Firmino

Bobby seems to have really found his feet now and start playing and linking up with Salah and Mane the way he was last season which is lovely to see and today he really stood out for me. Right from the kick off, he was everywhere like he usually is, always wanting to get on the ball and go forward and he is finally getting back to his usual ways.

What A Team

I can’t finish off the article without mentioning Shaqiri and Fabinho goals. Shaqiri continues his fabulous form and Fabinho finally gets his first goal for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp also recorded his 100th win as Liverpool FC manager, can’t put into words how brilliant he is and it’s so nice to see him proving people wrong.

Van Dijk was an absolute tank at the back again.

Andy Robertson was bloody marvelous.

Alisson is unbelievable.

Anfield is a fortress.

I could go on and on about every member of the Liverpool starting XI today but just know that they are all boss. Merry Christmas everyone!
