Liverpool Women have their final game of the 2018/19 WSL season coming up and Sunday and it could not be against better opposition as we face Everton Women.
It has not been the best of seasons for both sides with Liverpool only being able to finish in 8th place and Everton only being able to finish in 9th place. Like we have mentioned throughout this season, the Reds have been in a transitional stage and the same could be said for Everton too, they lost their manager half way through the season and have had a tough time in games.

There is no doubt Everton have some quality players, Gabby George has been a rock in their defence for a while now and still at the age of only 22, she is wise beyond her years and I would not be surprised to see her sign for one of the bigger English teams like Man City, Arsenal or Chelsea in the next couple of years. You also have the attraction of Man United Women making the move to WSL 1 and I feel like she would fit perfectly into that side and is exactly the type of player that Casey Stoney could nurture.
You also have a young forward in Chloe Kelly, she started her career at Arsenal before making the move to Merseyside and has also represented England at a number of levels so her experience even at the age of 21 is magnificent. She is always looking to drive forward and create opportunities whether it is for herself or another teammate so she is one to keep an eye out on.
Inessa Kaagman is also another midfielder who can cause us trouble, she scored in this game earlier on in the season with a wonderful strike. She is a favourite amongst supporters so no doubt she will try and cause us some problems.
Willie Kirk is the manager of Everton, he took over from Andy Spence in November 2018 and has since been able to keep Everton just above that relegation zone and avoid slipping back into WSL 2.
There are still tickets available for the game and it would be brilliant to have a few more faces show up and support both teams in the final game of the season. We are going to be there so will have all the post-match content coming out the day after and fingers crossed it is a good end to what has been a transitional year for the Reds.
Up the Reds!
