Well that was fucking dreadful. I’m ok with the result, I’d have taken it before hand. But to see how that was panning out and not make the most of it is fucking gutting.United players dropped out faster than you can say Fergie time and they were there for the taking. Mané and Mo were terrible.In the bigger scheme of things we are back on top of the table and a point clear. It’s still in our hands. Collectively stopped United scoring, Liverpool fans shitting themselves and injured Lingard in one fucking move.Was fairly quiet besides that. Another clean sheet.Milner – 5.5Seen him getting shite on Twitter but he was involved so much. Took a yellow for the team, was constantly a threat going forward and still stuck to his defensive duties. Maybe his delivery wasn’t the best at times but you could argue the movement ahead of him wasn’t the best either.Matip – 6I’ll be honest I’m confused with Joel. At times I think he’s Matipdonna, other times I think he’s Madonna. Some beautiful mazy runs, quality interceptions and important blocks often undone by shite passing or poor decision making. Am I asking too much from a 3rd/4th choice centre back?Virgil – 7Given him a 7 which may seem high. You can’t underestimate the job this guy does. Just because he makes it look easy doesn’t mean we shouldn’t continue to give him credit. Calm, composed and positionally outstanding.Robertson – 5Quiet again from Robertson. Tried to get forward but had to keep an eye on the counter. Defensively sound. Not much else to say.Hendo – 6He was pumped for this, he showed it in the warm up. It just needed to be transferred onto the pitch a little more.Gini – 6.5Don’t think he was terrible to be honest, he put in a shift as usual and in a congested midfield. Does the dirty work and in parts was able to burst forward but not enough to create an open chance.Fabinho – 7Possibly our best player for me. Again. Another dominant display from Fabinho. Never shy in the tackle, composed on the ball and he sprayed some lovely passes around the park.Mane – 5Quiet at times from Mané particularly in the second half. He put in a shift defensively but should have made more of a tiring United side.Salah – 5Poor from Mo today. Really poor. Gutted to be honest.Passing was off, positioning was off, movement was off. We needed him at his best today, United were dropping like flies and we should have made more of it.Firmino – 5Broke my heart to see Bobby go off. Even more so as it was so early in the game. Hopefully he’ll be ok for Watford midweek. Hard to give him anything higher than a 5 because he went off so early.Sturridge – 5Said it a million times, we don’t suit the way he plays. Or for arguments sake, he doesn’t suit us. Whatever. Replacing Bobby is never going to be easy but even more so when you play Sturridge instead.
