After the game against Watford at the weekend, Mo Salah has now scored more goals than any other Liverpool FC player in their debut season.Salah scored four goals on Saturday against Watford and bagged his first Liverpool FC hat-trick taking his tally up to 36 goals for the season and is looking on course to reach the 40 goal mark with seven games remaining in the Premier League and a Champions League Quarter-final tie against Manchester City still to come. He has 28 goals in the Premier League and is on track to get 30 goals this season. The current record of most goals scored in the Premier League campaign is 31 and is held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer and Luis Suarez. With Harry Kane out for a few weeks with an ankle injury and Mo Salah now being four ahead of him in the race for the Golden boot, it is likely the Egyptian will be taking the trophy home come the end of the season. He started the game level on 24 goals with Harry Kane and finished the match four in front with 28.Saturday’s first strike saw him become the second Liverpool player in the past 22 seasons to reach the 25-goal mark in the Premier League, the other player is Luis Suarez who did it in the 2013/14 campaign. He has also now netted more goals than any other Liverpool player in their first season at Anfield and beats Fernando Torres record of 33 goals and Mo Salah is showing no signs of slowing down. With a good amount of fixtures remaining and the only two teams who could cause us trouble being Chelsea and Everton, (probably not but you never know in a Derby), it is more than likely that Salah will steal the show on a number of other occasions in the remainder of the season.Although his goal scoring abilities are what everyone is talking about, you also have to look at the amount of scoring opportunities he has provided for his team mates this season. He is joint-third in the league with nine assists this season and can easily improve that tally over the coming weeks.Do you think Mo Salah will beat the record of most goals scored in a Premier League season?Article by Lauren Black@LaurenBlack9For more Redmen TV content including podcasts, subscriber exclusives and three new shows every week subscribe now and get your first month for FREE bit.ly/RMTVjoin
