Liverpool extends their lead at the top of the table after beating Norwich by one goal to nil away from home.

Not Even Storm Dennis Can Stop Us

A very hard-fought victory for Liverpool tonight in some difficult conditions but not even Strom Dennis can dull our sparkle with Sadio Mane coming off the bench to clinch the winning goal of the game.

I thought we started the game really well, we were controlling the possession and could have had a goal within 20 seconds of the game starting. The winter break seems to have given some of the boys a new lease of life and has also allowed us to give those injured players such as Mane, James Milner, and Fabinho that little bit of extra rest in order to give us a full senior squad for this evenings game which is nice to see.

Happy 100 Sadio!

Sadio Mane’s 100th Premier League this evening and he had no clue when asked in his post-match interview!

He has had an exceptional season for us so far and has really helped us in our title challenge and there is no denying he will continue to perform just as good for the remainder of the season.

It Wasn’t Easy

Of course the conditions affected the game at certain points but there were moments where Norwich really dug deep and made it difficult for us. They had their chances too after a couple of shaky moments at the back and they were definitely trying to catch us on the break which would have been their game plan from the start, they were comfortable with us having possession and knocking it about in midfield ad at the back so long it doesn’t end up in the box but that ball over the top from Jordan Henderson and the touch and finish from Mane was just too good and it was a goal that was coming for a long time.

Atletico Up Next

Back in Champions League action once again on Tuesday evening as the Reds fly out to Spain for the first leg. Really excited for this match as it has been a while since we’ve played in the competition so fingers crossed for a good away performance and hopefully we’ll come back to Liverpool with a nice lead heading into the second leg in a few weeks time.
