Always liked the Carabao Cup you know. Great cup.
On a serious note, I really enjoyed that. A great mix of youth and those who needed minutes under their belt. Not only that, they impressed.
A lot has been made of Divock Origi over the summer and so far this season and although it will take more than a few games to change the mind of fans, he can only play what’s in front of him. A goal and assist won’t do him any harm.
Same goes for Taki. Not sure what he is, where he plays, what his levels are but all he can do is play like that when he’s asked to.
All in all, a comfortable night for Liverpool.
Remember these are just opinions. Don’t worry about it. Make your own minds up. My thoughts don’t mean anything.
Kelleher – 9
Exceptional performance all round; quick off his line when he needed to be, distribution was spot on and he saved a penalty. Oh and a clean sheet. Well in Caoimhin. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Bradley – 7
Bit of a mixed bag for him tonight. Produced good moments of skill when going forward, looked assured for most parts but was a bit sloppy/rash/wild to give away the penalty. All part of the learning curve. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Gomez – 8
Terrific performance from the captain tonight. Thought him and Konaté dealt with most things with ease. Superb double block after the penalty and commanded the line really well. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Konaté – 8
Unlucky not to have a goal after his first half header flew over the bar. Calm and composed at all times, never any worries from a defensive point of view. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Tsimikas – 8
Another corner from Kostas, another Liverpool goal followed by yet another pin point assist on a plate for Divock Origi. His delivery is not only exceptional, it’s consistent. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Jones – 7
Did well in the 6 in the first half and seemed to grow into the role and the game. Until Kostas needlessly kicked the ball at him! Love the Carabao Cup, always have.

Keita – 6
Bit of a mad midfield to start with wasn’t it? Didn’t seem to have the balance. Don’t think Naby was that involved to be honest and was subbed at HT. Hopefully he’s not injured. More crucial minutes under his belt. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Ox – 6
Again the midfield felt a little disjointed in the first half. His passing was all over the shop but to be fair to him, he did get an assist. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Taki – 9
Two goals for Taki tonight! Took both of them really well; real mature, composed finishes from Minamino. Was a bit quiet in between the two goals but who’s arsed really? He was clinical and that will do him and us the world of good. Played in a number of positions during that game as well! Love the Carabao Cup, always have.

Unnaturally composed. Nothing bothers him. Not a strand of hair out of place. Both goals a great showcase of Taki's capacity. He's capable. pic.twitter.com/GYAtBZNVYQ
Origi – 8
Two headers, two goal contributions. Lovely cushioned header for Taki in the first half and then a point blank header to make it 2-0. Impressive once again. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Gordon – 7
Exciting little prospect this lad. Backs himself to take on a man, picked up some great little positions and should really have a goal after his volley in the second half but spaffed it way over. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Morton – 7
Was probably required in the middle of the park there, the 6 suits him. Thought he was sound, kept the ball ticking and didn’t put a foot wrong and you could tell he made an impact in the middle of the park. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Robbo – 6.5
One or two moments of being in the right place at the right time to cut out the odd Norwich attack. His experience showed. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
Hendo – N/A
Only played a few minutes. Love the Carabao Cup, always have.
