Article by Lauren Black -@Lauren_Black9This is opposition review where we discuss the team Liverpool will be playing against in their upcoming game and chat about their previous fixtures in both the Premier League and against Liverpool as well as a discussion about their current manager and who I think their star player is.So Brighton did not get off to the best of starts in the Premier League as they lost away to Watford by two goals to nil and rightly so as they were not the better team on the day.As you can see by the graphic, they had zero shots on target, less possession across the game and did not complete as many passes. However, even if you compare that with their game against Manchester United where they won 3-2, they were still second best but managed to get the goals which is what you need to win games. It was vital that the got the three points against United due to losing against Watford and then having to face us away from home this weekend. I think we are a better side than Manchester United at the minute but that still doesn’t mean that Brighton will roll over and let us play, they are going to be high on momentum after beating Utd and will be thinking they can do the same to us.Star Player I picked Anthony Knockaert for this and since signing from Standard Liege in January 2016 for £3 million he already had English football experience having played for Leicester City. The Frenchman played a total of 33 games in the Premier League last season scoring a total of 3 goals and grabbing 1 assist, for a winger that is not really a good return but he really shone in the Championship the season before. He played 45 matches, scored 15 goals and got 8 assists. There is no doubt he is one of Brighton’s best players and the only other two options I had would have been Solly March or Glenn Murray but I feel like Knockaert is the one to watch in the game at the weekend. There is also a shout for goalkeeper Matthew Ryan, he has been a favourite amongst the supporters too and rightly so as he put in some superb performances last season.Manager Chris HughtonHaving played a total of four games against Liverpool with Norwich and Brighton, he is yet to win one and they have all been pretty big wins for the Reds too with the most recent game against them back in May ended up 4-0. The last time Liverpool visited the Falmer Stadium they beat the home team by five goals to one.Against Liverpool he has conceded a total of 24 goals in four games so I’m hoping we will be having a similar score line to the one in May and to keep a clean sheet would be even better.Appointed manager in 2014 after replacing former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia, the former Republic of Ireland defender is a fan favourite and has done a really good job since being appointed as he has been in charge of 172 matches and averages 1.61 points per game.Article by Lauren Black -@Lauren_Black9
