As Federico Chiesa embarks on a new chapter at Liverpool, Juventus fans are feeling the loss.
To find out more about the player we spoke to podcaster, Giuseppe Boganni, who labelled Chiesa as the “fan favourite”, “prodigal son”, and ultimately “the guy”!
Although Giuseppe, like many, is sad to see the Italian go, he acknowledged that when the ideal conditions no longer exist for the players to thrive, it is better for both the club and the player to part ways.
‘HE WILL WANT TO PROVE A POINT’ – ITALIAN EXPERT ON LIVERPOOL’S NEW SIGNING FEDERICO CHIESA
Discussing the impact of Chiesa’s ACL injury, Giuseppe admits that while the player has physically recovered, he is still regaining confidence.
“As a forward, it is harder to come back from an ACL injury due to quick movements and turns,” he said.
However, Giuseppe is optimistic that the change in environment, combined with the support at an ambitious club like Liverpool, will help him overcome these challenges.
He believes that “Chiesa is very very close to being the player he once was” and the Premier League, with its fast pace and open spaces, is the perfect stage for him to rediscover himself.
When Chiesa is at his best, Giuseppe describes him as a “ferocious” player who can be a game-changer.
However, he notes that Chiesa needs to adapt his style slightly, becoming “a bit less explosive and more involved” in the game.
At Liverpool, with the intense competition, Chiesa will need to reinvent and “prove himself every single day if he wants to play.”
Chiesa’s versatility, power on both feet, and intelligence on the pitch will be assets, but he must be more patient, look up often, and involve himself in the build-up play, rather than just charging forward.

Giuseppe believes that the Premier League is exactly what Chiesa needs at this point in his career.
He said, “The league’s fast pace and open spaces are perfectly suited to Chiesa’s qualities,” noting that unlike Serie A, where spaces are tightly congested, the Premier League will give Chiesa the freedom to exploit his strengths.
His “beautiful shot accuracy” and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make him an exciting addition to the Liverpool squad.
As Liverpool fans prepare to welcome Chiesa, Giuseppe’s insights suggest that the Italian winger could be a key player for the Reds, especially as he regains full confidence and adapts to the demands of English football.
