AHHHH. Absolute class that. Just the win we all needed after Twitter was ready to set fire to the world after the draw at the weekend. This is the beauty of a busy fixture list, as soon as a disappointing result comes along, you can quickly put it right.

Bit of an odd game to be honest. Took us a while, or maybe even the game to get going.

We soon found the right gear and as soon as they went a goal down their heads dropped. We continued to commit bodies forward, we dragged defenders out of space and created more for others. If anything, it could have been more.

Top of the Premier League. Top of our group. Salah, Mane and Bobby all scored. Some players rested ahead of the weekend, others with important minutes under their belts. AND as it stands, no more injuries.

Plenty to be happy about!

Remember these are just opinions. Don’t worry about it. Make your own minds up. My thoughts don’t mean anything.

Alisson – 7

He’ll be fumin he conceded a goal there. Porto hardly got near us, Ali had nothing to do. One shot in the first half which was more of a pass than a shot and that was it. Just saving the clean sheet for Sunday. AMIRITE?

Milner – 7

Probably taken off for his own safety. Both in terms of a booking and possibly saving him for Sunday as well? Lovely ball into the corridor of uncertainty to set up Sadio. We will just ignore the fact the keeper left it.

van Dijk – 8

The biggest compliment I can give Virg and Joel is that I hardly noticed them. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Everything was just cool, calm and calculated. Besides the goal.

Matip – 8

Won all his ground duels, four out of five aerial duels, a few long balls and just generally went about his business quietly.

Robbo – 8

Much better from Robbo tonight. The Robbo we like to see; bombing up and down the wing, dangerous balls into the box, just being a fucking pain in the arse for Porto really.

Fabinho – 8

Maybe could have done a little better in the lead up to their goal but he was immense besides that so I’m going to focus on the positives. Won most of his ground and aerial duels, broke up the play from Porto and got us on the front foot many a time. Immense.

Henderson – 7

A proper dogged performance from Hendo. Everything you want from a European away; pressing, control of the game, his ability to get forward and commit to the attacks.

Jones – 10

Lad turned up to the Dragao doing a fucking wheelie there. Worra fucking performance from young Curtis Jones. He was everywhere tonight. Load of assists, key passes, shots, dribbles and excellent in his transitional play. SUPERB.

Mané – 8

Still doesn’t look 100% but he bagged a goal so who’s arsed really? It’s not for want of trying, it never has been. Defo gave the keeper a shout to leave that. Bet he couldn’t believe his luck.

Jota – 7

Great off the ball runs to make space for his mates and should really have at least one goal. Maybe four. Just picks those pockets of space brilliantly to collect the ball and run at the defence.

Salah – 9

Two shots on target, two goals. And well taken ones at that. Huge credit for his tracking back tonight as well. Not here for the glory, he’s doing the graft as well. Little bit of a rest ahead of Sunday too.

Bobby – 9

OHHH BOBBBYYYYY! TWO SHOTS, TWO GOALS. GOALKEEPER EMBARASSED. BOBBY SMILES.

Gomez – 6

Didn’t do anything wrong, but also didn’t do anything of note.

Taki & Ox – N/A

Only played 15 mins.

Div – N/A

Two minutes played.
