Liverpool fans across the globe, you might want to look away now!
The Reds haven’t had the best of luck with injuries in recent weeks and things may have gotten worse for the men from Anfield.
That’s because Sadio Mane has picked up an injury whilst playing for Senegal in a World Cup qualifier against Togo this afternoon.
The 29-year-old was replaced in the 28th minute of the game by Villarreal’s Boulaye Dia after picking up an injury.

African outlet WIW Sport are reporting that Mane suffered a blow to his head at one point in the game, and that he also appeared to injure a muscle when playing a pass, although it’s still far too early to know how serious an injury he has at this time.
Redmen Reacts
Liverpool will be without Roberto Firmino for a few weeks after he injured his hamstring playing against Atletico Madrid and they can’t really afford to be without both him and Mane, so Reds’ fans, and indeed players and coaches, will be hoping Mane’s substitution was just precautionary.
However, it would seemingly take a lot to get Mane to leave the pitch in a World Cup qualifier, so we’re all left fearing the worst until we get some more information.
If Mane does miss any time post-international break, that will be a huge, huge blow for Liverpool.
