November 2nd marks the 20th anniversary of the late, great Gérard Houllier coming out of hospital. Despite the rumours that Gérard would have to retire due to ill health, he made a victorious return to management against Roma, eventually leading Liverpool to a second place finish in the Premier League that year.
Le Boss had a fantastic career in football, winning three French league titles, as well as the 2001 European Football Coach of the Year award. He was honoured in the UK and at home, receiving both the Légion d’honneur and an OBE.
