October 22nd marks the anniversary of two archetypal ‘tricky European away’ ties, both at Spartak Moscow in 1992 and 2002.
The Reds struggled in 1992, losing 4-2. Liverpool enjoyed happier times in 2002, as a famous striker (who will remain nameless as he is in this quiz!) scored all three goals in a 3-1 victory.
