On 10th November 2007, Rafa Benitez took charge of his 200th Liverpool game. The Madrileño arrived at Anfield in 2004 with a big reputation, having won the UEFA Cup and La Liga twice at Valencia.
The Spaniard was an instant success at Anfield, winning the Champions League in his first season in charge. Benitez reached a second Champions League final against AC Milan in 2007.
Rafa has long had an affinity with Liverpool and has had a house on the Wirral for many years. He made a controversial return to the city in summer 2021 when he was appointed manager of Everton.
